I don't have any qualms telling you I just went through a very emotional time at home maybe about 2 weeks ago that involved lots of tears and sadness--which never happens--and yes it had to do a lot with communication. And it was extremely hard for me.

You are right on all of these guesses, like a mixture. A little of each makes sense to me. In certain areas of home I wear the pants, but not all. I also draw support and strength from my husband, and in many ways I am like my father. In fact he's with our family a lot in spirit.
